Business Backup & Recovery

Backup is only useful when recovery works.

Protect critical business data with clear recovery priorities, monitored backups and practical testing that shows what can be restored when it matters.

Is this the right service?

Start with what the business cannot afford to lose.

A good backup plan is shaped around important data, acceptable downtime and the people responsible for getting the organisation working again.

01

You rely on Microsoft 365 or cloud data

Protect important email, files and collaboration data beyond normal retention and recycle-bin features.

02

No one is certain what can be restored

Replace assumptions with a defined scope, clear responsibilities and practical recovery testing.

03

Downtime would quickly affect customers

Prioritise the systems and information that need to return first after deletion, failure or compromise.

Built around your data

What can backup and recovery cover?

The right scope depends on where your information lives and how quickly the business needs it back. The technology follows those requirements.

01

Microsoft 365

Independent backup for agreed Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data, with suitable retention and recovery options.

02

Business files

Protect important shared folders and working data held across supported cloud, office and remote environments.

03

Servers & endpoints

Back up agreed systems or devices where loss would interrupt operations or make important information unavailable.

04

Recovery planning

Define priorities, responsibilities and a sensible route for restoring data and services after an incident.

Already have a backup service?

We can review what is covered, how failures are handled and whether anyone has recently proved that important data can be restored.

Review the current setup

A recovery-led approach

Protect, monitor and prove that recovery works.

Backup jobs are only one part of the service. The aim is to create a dependable route back to the information the business needs.

01

Identify

Confirm important data, locations, owners and the operational impact of losing access.

02

Protect

Agree suitable coverage, frequency, retention and separately secured storage.

03

Monitor

Check backup activity, investigate failures and report issues that need attention.

04

Verify

Use agreed test restores to confirm that important data can be recovered in practice.

What you receive

A recovery plan the business can understand.

You know what is protected, what is not, how quickly key information is expected back and who needs to act when recovery is required.

✓

A defined backup scope

A clear record of the users, data, services and systems included in the agreed protection.

✓

Recovery priorities

Sensible recovery objectives based on operational importance rather than treating everything equally.

✓

Monitoring & failure alerts

Visibility when backups do not complete as expected, with a route for investigation and action.

✓

Tested restores

Practical checks that provide greater confidence in the recovery process before a real incident.

Common questions

A few things customers usually ask.

Does Microsoft 365 already back up our data?

Microsoft provides resilience and retention features, but these do not always meet every organisation’s recovery needs. Independent backup can provide additional retention, separation and recovery options for agreed Microsoft 365 data.

How often should backups run?

That depends on how quickly your data changes and how much information the business could tolerate losing. We agree a proportionate approach around those recovery requirements.

Can backup help after ransomware?

Recoverable, separately protected data can be an important part of ransomware recovery. It does not prevent an attack, and the recovery route depends on the systems affected and the condition of the available backups.

Can you work with our existing IT provider?

Yes. We can define what each party manages, share recovery information and help ensure that gaps or overlapping assumptions do not leave important data unprotected.
