Network Upgrades

Improve what you have. Replace only what you need.

A practical route from an unreliable or untidy network to infrastructure that is faster, clearer and easier to manage.

Start with the symptoms

What needs to work better?

You do not need to know which switch, setting or cable is causing the issue. We start with what your team experiences and work back to the likely cause.

01

The network feels slow or unreliable

Identify bottlenecks, failing equipment and design limitations that interrupt everyday work.

02

The setup has grown without a plan

Bring structure to mixed equipment, unclear patching and changes made over many years.

03

New systems need more capacity

Prepare the network for additional people, Wi-Fi, CCTV, phones, cloud services or new premises.

A clearer network

Upgrade the parts that make a real difference.

We review the complete path rather than treating every problem as a reason to replace everything.

SW

Switching & capacity

Right-size switching, uplinks and Power over Ethernet for the devices and traffic the business needs to support.

VL

Network separation

Separate staff, guest, CCTV, voice and other systems where it improves security, control and reliability.

↻

Resilience & continuity

Reduce avoidable single points of failure and plan sensible fallback for the connections that matter most.

ID

Cabinets & documentation

Improve patching, labels and records so future support does not begin with guesswork.

Keep, improve or replace?

We look for equipment and cabling that can continue doing a good job, then focus investment on the limitations that are creating risk or holding the network back.

Arrange a network review

A controlled change

Understand first. Upgrade second.

A planned upgrade should improve the network without creating unnecessary disruption for the people and systems already using it.

01

Review

Understand the current layout, connected systems, pain points and plans for growth.

02

Prioritise

Separate essential improvements from useful options and changes that can wait.

03

Upgrade

Install and configure the agreed changes around a practical migration plan.

04

Verify

Test operation, check important services and provide a clear handover.

What you receive

A network that makes more sense.

The outcome is not simply newer equipment. It is a network that supports the business better and is easier to understand when something changes.

✓

A proportionate upgrade plan

Clear priorities based on business impact, technical need and available budget.

✓

Configured network equipment

Agreed switches and supporting equipment installed, updated and configured for their intended role.

✓

Appropriate separation

Users and systems placed on the right parts of the network without needless complexity.

✓

Testing & handover

Key connections checked and useful network information recorded for future support.

Common questions

A few things customers usually ask.

Do we need to replace all of our switches?

Not necessarily. We assess whether the existing equipment can still support the required speed, power, management and security. Suitable equipment can remain part of the design.

Can you upgrade the network without taking everything offline?

Most upgrades can be planned in stages or carried out during an agreed maintenance window. We identify likely disruption before work begins and agree the practical route with you.

What is network segmentation?

It means separating different users or systems into controlled parts of the network. For example, staff, guests and CCTV may not need the same access to business systems.

Can you work alongside our IT support provider?

Yes. We can coordinate the physical network and agreed configuration changes with your existing IT team or managed service provider where responsibilities overlap.

Move beyond the patchwork

Let’s make your network easier to trust and manage.

Tell us what is unreliable, difficult to support or changing. We will help you decide which improvements matter now.
